Yes, I wrote it… but it is no longer true.

The global dietary supplements market in 2024 was valued at approximately 481 billion, with a projected reach of 816 billion by 2033. The US raked in 78 billion of the 2025 fallen leaf pile, but more than 1/3 of the global gratis goes to Asian markets [1]. It does not matter that in one decade our supplementation and health food industry surpassed many other nation’s entire GDP, the balance in power over this market has big-pharma, Bill Gates, and a considerable amount of AG lobbyists chomping at the bit.

At the same time… healthcare costs in the US skyrocketed, prescription drug expenditures are now 200x what they were in 2010, and Americans are more unhealthy than every other population in the world. Sadly, the FDA has recently allowed the introduction of lab-grown, biologically engineered, and an array of untested, unethical, and unnatural incantations into an already corrupt and suspect food supply.

The lack of organic and slow-grown nutritionally optimized produce is the main culprit of why even those seeking healthy lifestyles, eating right, and living a balanced life are still struggling. It’s kind of like the difference between fishing and catching.

Fast and high yield is every farmer’s wet dream. Even for our favorite ethical and organic growers. Unfortunately, quick to market is truly not that far from fast-food when it comes to nutrition. So as I said in 2013, Supplementing your diet is a must. “They” know that. Supplementing with high quality vitamins and essential nutrients is big-pharma’s latest golden idol.

In my 2013 blog, I wrote “… not everyone has your health and wellbeing in mind when they offer advice, that latest cure-all elixir, or that next best supplement.” That is still true. No scientific computation, statistical synthesizing, or ‘political gerrymandering’ can change that mean, mode, or commutative fact. And we all now know the WHO’s condescending injunction to “follow the science” as the harbinger of truth is about as trustworthy as Biden’s autopen.

My point being, as it was in 2013 with my very first blog, be an active participant and advocate in the search for healing and health. Do your research, and become an educated consumer.

Another excerpt from the past that still holds water: “The last time I went to Whole Foods I brought a handful of questions about the herbal tincture everybody was talking about at the time. I walked out more confused and with a bag full of product I paid way too much for. After taking my son to the local GNC with hopes to learn which protein supplement is best for an athlete of his age and activity, I realized I knew more about the products on the shelf than the store manager.  I find the same to be the case at most health food suppliers and vitamin shops.

That may have seemed an unfair statement back in 2013, but only because at that time, just starting towards my degree in alternative medicine, there was a health food store and vitamin shop on every street corner. That is no longer the case. We’ve witnessed the coming and going of the best, replaced by commercialized and corporate branding boobytraps. You know, that stuff we’ve been conditioned to trust because they have street cred. Yup, they call you friend but sell you the fentanyl laced weed to make sure you come back for more.

Before Covid-19, nature based treatment options and holistic or alternative remedies were being resurrected, rising once again from ashes, much like the magical and mystical phoenix. Why? Because the failures of allopathic medicine and the western healthcare system had grown like branches off Pinocchio’s nose. The collective consciousness was awake and aware and adept enough to question authority.

After Covid-19, regurgitations of fear mongering and MK-Ultra like conditioning coming from the bowels of the AMA: A hydra-monster who resurfaces now again to devour whatever life saving and peace loving paradigm not pasteurized and incubated by big-pharma, political greed, or institutionalized government and healthcare systems, spewed its vomitus until another dystopic lens spawned a whole new breed of allopathic followers.

Much like the crowds screaming from the pews at the Salem witch trials.

Ironically, it is the atheist’s and Satanists clinging to the spar this time. Those myopic cyclopsisms stomp and push others out of their way while trying to find their way out of this century’s carnival house of mirrors. You can pick them out of the crowd now. They are the ones still wearing masks with their one eye parenthesized by blinders and blue fringe.

I mean hell and witches… what but a curse of ignorance and blind bliss could convince an entire world population to mask up and inject God-knows-what into their veins only because the failing, greedy, soulless powers that be where afraid of losing their seat at the altar. Yes, it is clear to me this is spiritual warfare, the likes we’ve not seen in 2000 years.

But take heart. Look at those pandemic power mongers and the devout disciples now.

God warned, in Deuteronomy 28, He will strike people with “madness and blindness and confusion of heart,” resulting in them “groping at noonday, as a blind men gropes in darkness” and being unable to prosper in their ways. Spank me and call me Sally, if that doesn’t sound like the crazy-eyed democratic and liberal party participants that now span the globe. There are whole news programs, TikTok, and YouTube videos capturing their special kind of crazy in cameos and CCTV.

Lately, the Looney-Tunes (Yes, I split the dif on the Mandela affect for literary effect) have also inspired an “If they can do it so can I” tact for the snake oil sellers and side-winding spellers. Just about anybody with white teeth and a Facebook, YouTube, X or TikTok account has self-published and is producing podcasts that tells you how to heal yourself.

And you believe them.

Why?

Because since before you were born you have been conditioned to believe anyone with money or on television is an authority.

Oz, O’Neill, Robbins, and so many more. Every day there is another. One more symptom to worry about. Another psychological illness to label and medicate. Something else that is wrong with us and needs fixing…. because they say so. Have you bothered to look into the references links, read for yourself the so-called scientific data? No worries. You are not alone. Most wont. They will take what they are told at face value because it came prepackaged in blue-light and micro-managed time limits that matched your viewing algorithms.

Your physician, pharmacists, or even your liberal favorite politician will not save you. And not to go all zealots on you, but Mathew 15 offers the words of Jesus, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots”.

So beware. Be aware. “You need a degree to wade through the plethora of propaganda and marketing mumbo-jumbo, if only to avoid worrying that something you’re taking may have contraindications, be toxic if used incorrectly, or counteract the effects of medications you are already taking.” [Excerpt 2013] Though originally written with more than a tone of sarcasm, the sentiment is cornerstone to my devotion to the services I offer. That is why I did get a degree in the alternative medicine and a master’s in public health with concentration in integrative medicine… not just a TikTok or YouTube account.

Please Lord, my redeemer and salvation, I ask that in all your mercy and grace you free the people of all nations who have been fenced in, oppressed, and led to slaughter by the principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness of this world. Let us all come together to pray for everyone put at mortal risk because of spiritual wickedness in high places.

Help the dark ones shed scales from their eyes; that they might, like when they were children, once again see plainly all that is good and right and aligned with you, oh Lord.

Pluck the stick that blinds our judges and cut off the right hand of the politicians, phoresies, and lawmakers that offend. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, causing such an ache their hearts are softened and their grip on greedy desires for continued power, riches, and all that is false and ugly be released. Let the scales in their eyes fall away that the next time they look in the mirror they recognize their eternal soul begging to be remembered. Let these sorrows ache in their stony hearts until they are softened and speak with remorse and move on actions of repentance for their constituents, their charges, and the oppressed in their care.

Help them to have the courage to lead with divine insight and compassion, oh Lord, just as you with your mercy, grace, and goodness. Guide them in becoming testimony in transformation, redemption, and the power of your great and wonderful kingdom of eternal glory.

For you are the only true King. The power and glory is yours forever. Amen.

Oliver’s desperate plea as his tiny skeletal hands presented an empty bowl came to mind as I read the headline regarding red dye No. 3 (erythrosine). The bloviators at CNN and other legacy media touted, boasted, and babbled on and on about the pittance of protection the FDA finally tossed the chronically ill U.S. consumer as if it were a gift of frankincense and myrrh.

Perhaps there was hope of masking the stink of being just another flimflam floating in the swamp of alphabet agencies meant to protect us but that does just the opposite. Maybe they think throwing us a bone will keep us believing in their protective prowess. Just in case there’s another pandemic. Might it be the Biden administration being as spiteful and inept as usual: Wanting to claim cleaning up the food supply as a democratic win.

Whatever the reason, I want more.

First, I want to know why it took more than thirty years from the time it was banned in cosmetics to admit it should not be eaten? The dangerous chemical has been banned from food production in Europe and many other countries for at least as long. Seems our supposed consumer protection agency lost the horse, set the cart aflame, and dropped the ball on that account.

Creepy images of feeble crooked men and high browed witches with walkers offering poisoned candies and treats to my grandchildren keep filling my head. The Biden administration’s agreement allows the carcinogenic red dye to continue to be used in edible preparations for two more years, and four more years in pharmaceuticals. That leaves red dye #40, banned in the EU and other countries since 2001, to continue its dirty work in the U.S.. A 2019 review of red dye #40 reported conclusive evidence that consumption of the synthetic causes hyperactivity, irritability, and increases symptoms of ADHD.

Titanium dioxide is a chemical colorant that makes things beautifully white. But it is not as pure as the driven snow. Found in an array of popular yummies including all kinds of candy, chewing gum, pastry creams, cookies, coffee creamers, cheese, as well as soy, oat, and nut milks, makes this poison positively perverse. This class of carcinogen cannot be ruled out as a mutagenic agent able to damage DNA when ingested, and all types of exposure is potentially causing symptoms of chronic inflammation which leads to the leading cause of death; cardiovascular disease.

So, though my main concern, as always, is to help my readers in taking responsibility for their own health, it is difficult not to get into the red, white, and blue of this issue.

That said, in September of 2003 a Public Health Advisory was issued on FD&C Blue No.1 because of clinical reports of injury upon ingestion. Then ​a 2013 study published by The Journal of General Physiology indicated that Brilliant Blue (FD&C Blue No. 1) could harm the gastrointestinal system and inhibit cell respiration, potentially leading to conditions like ADHD, hyperactivity, allergies, asthma, and acute Crohn’s. Yet the United States still allows Blue No. 1 to be used in many foods, beverages, and pharmaceuticals today.

So, Red #3 is just a drop in a bucket full of stagnant slime. The FDA is still using reports and studies more than thirty years old to base Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) recommendations. The list of toxic and disease causing food additives, preservatives, and flavor enhancers is scary long. Chemical Cuisine FAQ (link below) offers a database that may help you learn what to look for if not avoid the monsters hiding in our food supply. Beware… their recommendations are more like a game of ‘where is the ball’ with the FDA as the carnie. Do your own research to learn more. The EWG and YUCA have apps for your phone that make it easy while you shop.

Someone once told me when something seems suspect, follow the money. Following the money once again leads us to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries that not only control our food, water, and healthcare industries, they clearly have the majority of legislative souls in our federal governance on the take, afraid of blackmail, or dependent upon evil-doer funds to plug into the power source.

I want more. I want better. I want to see all the dangerous toxic chemicals, even if they are just suspected of being harmful, be removed from the food supply TODAY! Why wait? I want my children and grandchildren to be eating safe and nutritious food right now. I want to believe again, that our leaders and lawmakers want to protect everyone, all of us from harm. Because all lives matter.

Why are our leaders allowing the chemical and pharmaceutical companies to continue to use Americans as Guinea pigs: Big-pharma and the chemical corporations are making trillions of dollars of profit every year because of their partnership with the FDA. The FDA is an agency that stopped doing their job back when the AMA, with the help of Good Housekeeping, propagandized and conditioned our parents into believing doctors and scientists were gods, their word gospel, and a pill could cure anything.

Inevitably, and possibly quite blindly, we gave them the power to make us sick and keep us sick. We believed they could heal, not realizing their cures contain the same dangerous chemicals cited above… and more. So much more.

It is time we all made it clear to our senators and congress​ that we expect more. We expect better from them. Please, share this message with them. At the very least, take the time to do your own research to learn more about how toxic the American food supply actually is. You just might be able to save your children’s and grandchildren’s lives, if not your own.

How MAHA is Transforming America’s Health Agenda

At least 38 countries have banned phorate, glyphosate, and other “extremely hazardous” insecticides the US continues to produce and use. The World Health Organization considers about 150 agricultural pesticides hazardous to humans that US corporate farmers continue to use.

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), as of 2021, the European Union has banned or restricted over 1,000 food additives, including:

  • 150 synthetic food colorings
  • 200 preservatives
  • 150 emulsifiers and stabilizers
  • 100 flavor enhancers
  • 50 sweeteners

In contrast, the United States has a more lenient approach to regulating food additives, with the FDA allowing many substances that are banned or heavily restricted in other countries. However, the FDA does have a process for evaluating and regulating food additives, and some substances have been banned or restricted in the US due to health concerns.

Natural Healthy Weight Loss: Part III

Part III: Exercise

In 2008 the US government issued the first ever Physical Activity Guidelines (PAG).  The Food Pyramid was changed to reflect the need for daily physical activity. It was a step in the right direction.  Just one most ignored, probably because 60 minutes of exercise every day is just too big a step. Today obesity in America is at an all time high. US named third fattest country in the world, is not a headline any of us are proud of. After considerable contemplation, I figured there are two things that need to be done. First we need to prove it doesn’t take sixty whole arduous I-don’t-like it-it-hurts minutes of exercise a day to lose that extra 20 lbs 65% of us are walking around with.  Second; support and reinforcement of informing everyone about the importance of daily exercise needs to be paramount. Too many do not know how GLUT-proteins research proved exercise is as essential to any health regimen or weight loss program as water is to life? That GLUT-proteins are metabolized and produced only during exercise. These essential proteins enhance the glucose uptake process optimizing metabolic systems and cellular performance. This means, without exercise, many metabolic systems collapse.

In the last ten years a better understanding of the glut proteins and glycemic index have caused a dramatic shift in our evaluation and utilization of nutritional guidelines for physical fitness as well as the treatment and diagnosis of diabetes and other metabolic syndrome related diseases. It’s a wonderful thing.  In fact, they (being the proverbial “they”) are on the verge of proving that as little as 30 minutes of exercise three times a week can help you maintain your weight and optimize your health (reduce your risk for diabetes, cancer, and stroke). 30 minutes…  3 times a week… Now that’s more like it.  Even the average, busy-around-the-clock with kids, jobs, homes, and life American can handle that.  At the very least, it seems more probable than 60 minutes of exercise that turns into two hours because you have to get into gym clothes, get to the gym, get stretched then socialize with gym buddies for ten before exercising, then get home and showered.  30 minutes can be done in a walk around your neighborhood or in a local park, playing ball with your son, or dancing with your daughter to the music of her favorite band. I can think of a gazillion other ways to get 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week… without it hurting.

What can you think up? I’d really like to hear.

But before I leave the subject of how important exercise is to natural and healthful weight loss, I want to say that the PAG report also recommended an abundance of fruits and vegetables with an emphasis on whole grains and whole foods. (Gee, doesn’t that sound familiar.)  It suggested limiting sugars and solid fats such as butter, and red meat, and high glycemic index foods such as flour and complex carbohydrates. It also recommends eliminating prepackaged or processed foods. (Go figure.)

To put about as fine a point on it as I can, exercise coupled with whole food nutrition and proper supplementation pretty much guarantees natural, healthful, and sustainable weight loss.  I do not know anything else that does.

There is one final but important note I feel obligated to mention as we cannot speak about wanting to lose weight without discussing depression. According to the CDC, clinical depression affects 1 in 10 adults in the U.S. Because depression is believed to be a multi-factorial consequence resulting from stressors that include obesity and sedentary lifestyles, the Antidepressant-Lifestyle-Physiological-Social (ALPS) model includes moderate aerobic and anaerobic exercise as integral aspects of recovery. Research has proven the benefits of exercise for those suffering from depression, even so little as fifteen minutes a day. 15 minutes!  To a happier and healthier you.

Natural and Healthful Weight Loss… big subject. Everybody is either talking about it or trying to do it… or both. According to the CDC, 35.7% US adults and approximately 18% of children under the age of 19 are obese. Nearly 65% of Americas admit to wanting to lose 20lbs or more. It is estimated that upwards of 50% of Americans will start or try a new diet this year alone. Nearly all of them will not be able to keep the weight off for 5 years or more. Not a bright and shiny spot in health news today. Personally, any measure of success I’ve had with fad diets, calorie-counting aps, or by stacking my fridge full of pre-packaged and processed products was expensive and pointless. And recently I’ve come to believe a big part of the problem is that there is less and less NATURE in the things we put into our bodies. The Standard American Diet is SAD, unnatural, and most of all… unhealthy. We gorge on animal fats, sugar, and all those pre packaged processed food snacks that even when they tout only 100 calories, made from nature, or guarantee 2 sizes in 2 weeks, are really, really bad for you. Why? Because the majority of them contain high fructose corn syrup.
55 % of all pre-packaged foods on the grocery shelves today contain high fructose corn syrup. It is a product three times sweeter than regular sucrose (table sugar), enabling producers to save money by using less. Economics aside, recent research suggests that corn syrup is absorbed differently in the body than other sugars and may actually act more like a fat. It increases the production of insulin which fatigues the pancreas leading to insulin resistance and other metabolic syndrome conditions like diabetes. It also increases production of the hormone leptin which regulates fat storage while suppressing ghrelin, the hormone that regulates appetite and intake. “Another concern is how fructose affects the liver”, says J.P Bantle who led the University of Minnesota study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Apparently, corn syrup is converted into the chemical backbone of triglycerides more efficiently than glucose, increasing blood cholesterol levels in test subjects.
